What is the best way to prepare for your new assignment?
Let's acknowledge God's role in this process. He has given you the discernment to see your new assignment from His perspective. This is a crucial step in your preparation.
Take time to get alone in a quiet place where you and God can talk. This personal connection is crucial as you prepare for your new assignment.
I am beginning a new assignment. Therefore, I want to share with you what God is saying to me.
Remember: Let's not forget the role of God in our accomplishments. O Lord, You establish peace for us. All that we have achieved, You have done for us. Isaiah 26:12 NIV
Rejoice: You and God rejoice together over the victories He won on your journey to get you to this new assignment. O Lord, the king rejoices in your strength. How great is his joy in the victories you give. You have granted him the desire of his heart and have not withheld the requests of his lips. Let this joy uplift you as you prepare for your new assignment. Psalm 21:1-2
Reflect: Think about the ways of God in your life throughout your journey to this point. God promises, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8
Resolve: Declare, "I will trust in the LORD with all my heart. I will not lean on my own understanding. In all my ways, I will acknowledge Him and He will make straight my path." Proverbs 3:5-6
Recognize that you are in a spiritual battle. You will recognize this as you walk with God through Steps 1-4. The Holy Spirit in you will bring to your mind and provide insight for the battle. Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7-8
Rely: Declare, "I will continue to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit in me to accomplish my new assignment. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Resound "Victory!"
